Social Networks

Haven’t heard of it? It’s time that you do.

When I was growing up we had answering machines, no caller id and no home computers. I’m sure my kid will think I am old school when I tell her this. I don’t know how we ever got a hold of anyone 20-30yrs ago. We would leave messages on people’s answering machines or with their mom or dad and hope that we would be around when they called back or they would leave a message on our answering machine. We didn’t even have an answering machine in our house until I left for college.

Today everyone has a cell phone and an email account. You can get a hold of anyone at anytime. But, there’s more. Social media is all that kids growing up today know. Have you heard of Myspace or Facebook? Well, if you haven’t it’s time that you go and sign up with one of them. I recommend Facebook as it’s taking over the social media game. Kids these days will be able to keep track of all of their friends for the rest of their lives now through these social networks. I can’t even remember 10% of everyone I’ve ever met. Now a days all you have to do is search for them on your social network and add them as a friend and you can keep in contact with them anytime you want.

So, go and sign up for a Facebook account and add Jared Roy as a friend.
